With my current job leaving me a little unfulfilled, I found myself searching for what I wanted to do with all of this restless energy again. While in the bookstore, I cam across this book entitled, "90 Days to Your Novel." It helps get the person on track and organized to really complete that project. I thought ,"How wonderful! I will finally get myself organized enough to finish something I've always wanted to do."
I began dreaming of my new life as an author. I will get my book published, immediately find fortune and fame, and find the satisfaction that was missing in my current career.
I'm sure someone out there is giggling right now at the untold joke. I never start my projects half-assed. So of course I started looking into publishing, how to do it, best methods and all that. Turns out that the writing is the easy part. Now I need to self-promote, find a fan base, become a full-time blogger in addition to a full-time writer, and cross my fingers that a few hundred people might discover my writing abilities. How depressing.
Lucky for you (my lone reader), I clung to at least one portion of the advice. I began writing my blog again. In essence, this is more of a public diary of my thoughts. Perhaps people will find this blog and begin to follow the way my mind works. Perhaps they will even see the samples of my writing and fall in love with one of my characters. Perhaps I will find the routine of writing in this blog as a sort of training ground to get better at writing my book.
Either way...I am writing again.
